My name is Gemma Fernández

For over 25 years, I have understood that every body tells a different story.

I don't believe in standard protocols because no two patients are alike. My job is to listen to what your body is telling me and use my hands to help you recover.

The decision that shaped my career

I graduated from Alfonso X El Sabio University (Madrid) in 2001. I spent my early years working in the public and hospital systems. It was a tough but valuable learning experience, but there I encountered a reality that didn’t align with my values: “express physical therapy.”
I saw how the same protocols were applied to completely different people. I felt that the system treated pathologies, not people.

In 2006, I made the most important decision of my professional life: to open my own practice so I could say “no” to the rush and “yes” to personalized care.

Since then, my mission has been to provide what social security, mutual insurance companies, and private insurers cannot:

My two pillars: manual therapy and mindful movement

For years, I specialized in the purest forms of manual therapy (lymphatic drainage, fascial release). My hands were the tool I used to “fix” the body’s structure. But I realized that, to prevent the patient from getting injured again, they needed something more: to learn how to move.

That is why, in 2018, I incorporated clinical Pilates into my practice and expanded my clinic to create a space dedicated to therapeutic exercise.

Today, my approach is comprehensive:

I release muscle tension and relieve pain through manual therapy.

I'll help you adjust your movements to build on your progress and prevent setbacks.

I came to Gemma’s practice with constant neck pain and a feeling of stiffness that I’d been dealing with for years. From the very first session, I noticed something different: her approach is very mindful, unhurried, and completely personalized.

What you can expect from me (and what I expect from you)

If you come to my office, I guarantee you honesty. I won’t try to sell you endless sessions if you don’t need them. We’ll find the simplest and most direct path to your recovery.

In return, I’ll ask for your commitment. Health is a team effort: I’ll contribute my expertise and experience, but you need to do your part (exercise, healthy habits, consistency). If we work together, we’ll see results.
